Lextra In Mold Film Laminate consists of essentially three parts:

  1. Lextra pre-colored nylon (polyamide) flock fibers
  2. Permanent, proprietary Lextra Flock Fiber Adhesive engineered to adhere to the Lextra Flock Fibers on one side and to the Forming Film on the other side
  3. Forming Film, normally specified or supplied by the customer, which is compatible with the molding resin or material to insure a strong chemical melt bond, is both thick and thin enough to withstand the forming process without degradation (splitting, wrinkling)

Once the Lextra In Mold Film Laminate is laminated it is ready in subsequent processes to be Formed, Trimmed, Inserted into the Mold Tool and finally molded together with the injected resin to form the final part.
